Apologies!!!

Yeah, it has been a while ...but we have lost the internet connection since we moved house and school policy dictates that I should only use the computer for work purposes (it blocked the site, i have tried!!!). Even in my local library, I am unable to have free and easy access to this site. Nilim sasta!!! I know the fadas are missing but I'm lucky to have a keyboard at all like.

Anyway, since I last updated this thing, I have turned 25...scary prospect but I'm KOOL and the gang. I've been mostly reading Ross O Carroll Kelly's books, hence the little bit of lingo.

May go now, but will be back...the screen is flashing like it knows!!!

Weekend to remember

I figured that I might aswell say how interesting my weekend was while I'm here. Alan, just to let you know if you are reading this, it's your turn to visit and if you read on you will realise that our weekends can be fun...You really don't want to miss out!!!

Anyway, last weekend a friend of mine, who shall remain nameless, was the butt of all our jokes. She came home late from the States but we decided that we had to give her a right welcome home. So we began to plan our prank.

We decided that obviously this prank would have to be connected with travel. A plane perhaps...next a reminder of her journey...Clouds lets say...then everything should be retold to her through video evidence...ah ha, a video camera!!!

So, deep in the middle of the night (in pitch dark, I might add) we travelled to where she worked and proceeded to put our plan into action. Firstly, we sought out her vehicle. This took longer than expected as she had carefully hidden it, expecting the unexpected I suppose(She is tricky, you see).

Next, we applied the wings to her vehicle. This took some effort but we were persistent if nothing else. Then came the clouds but we lacked the fluffy softness of cotton wool. Instead, we opted for the ruggedness of cheap toilet paper;0) This was spread with abandon around the vehicle. Now, our masterpiece had to be named, so without further ado, we began writing witty little ditties all over it.

All this occured while many people walked past... some amused, others bewildered but none so worried as to call our local constabulary and let them know of said events. This had us quite confused at the time but it seems, shouting that you are a tv crew from a well known television station, doing a documentary tends to lead people off your trail!!!

All I can say is, I can't wait for this weekend to see what we get up to!!!

Ar ais!!!

As usual, I have found it terribly difficult to find time to add to my blog and keep it updated. Some folk I know, would question the validity of having a blog in this case. My answer as always is MYOB...

However, I have enjoyed my experience as a blogger. I feel I have learned a lot. Source code for one thing, is no longer a totally alien concept to me. Improvements have been made in the style of worksheet I might hand out on a day to day basis. The idea of giving a presentation to a room full of colleagues no longer scares "the bejesus" out of me!!! My skills were upgraded to passable. Though much work is needed, even on my handouts, I don't feel like anything technological is EVIL now.

Christmas is coming and the geese are getting fat...and I have yet to find a pair of sandals for the wedding!!! Panic has started to set in a little now. It is less than ten days away, it could possibly be snowing and snow boots won't go with my outfit. I suppose I could just count my blessings that at least I'm not the bride!!!

It is no secret among those of you who know me, that for me, that is a fate worse than any other!!! We were talking the other day and the conversation came around to weddings (it seems that I am of a certain age now where such occasions are more frequent). Anyway, while all agreed that Christmas is indeed a lovely time for a wedding, it can also be a trifle expensive. Here was me thinking, that it was just a plain old frosty time to have it!!!

Like it or not though, I must set about the task of finding a delightful pair of dainty silver sandals quite quickly or I shall not go to the ball!!!

Oh, the reference to the geese had to do with what one of my students said today. Apparently, tomorrow many of our feathered friends will be getting the chop so perhaps I should feel a little sympathy... BON VOYAGE!!!

Blocked!!!

I finally realise why most kids do not like school. This gem came to me while I was trying to log into my blog in work today. Apparently, our user policy does not allow me to view my own blog. I feel so restricted!!!

Anyway, I haven't logged on in a while and I wanted to check out all the gossip that might have been thrown about. Just in case I forget to say, alan can you text áine-máire. She had a bit of bad luck there and I'd say she would appreciate it.

Techno phobe

Due to my new found friend, the ECDL manuel, I am about to become savvy in a language that I could not even comprehend, say, 5 months ago!!!

Folks, I was brought to water a long time ago but I have finally decided to drink...
Just as I become more educated, however, my friend alan decides to up and leave. Feeling totally abandoned by him, I took a trip down to see him. I met Leo and Clio is so much cooler. ha, ha, ha. Anyway, I was a very welcomed guest but I failed to make him return to our community, mores the pity. For now, I will let him off the hook so he can realise how much he is actually missing us. Hopefully, it wont be too long before he is gracing us with his prescence again...
